GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE
Members
represent the Association before lawmakers, providing valuable
input on proposals affecting
the construction industry and the affordability of housing
in our community. Members also research and study specific
issues, providing critical current information to BANCF
members. Areas of concentration include: Affordable Housing,
City
Government, County Government, Outlying Municipalities,
State & Federal
Government, Utilities, Florida Building Code, Comprehensive
Plans. VOTER PARTICIPATION
COMMITTEE
Members conduct voter registration
drives and voter mobilization of BANCF Members and employees,
initiates dialogue with candidates, and informs members on
issues affecting our industry and the affordability of housing. HOMES OF OUR OWN
Presenting a positive message about home
building to over 2000 area school children through the successful
Homes of Our Own program, by visiting elementary and middle
schools each year. PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE
Develop and implement a plan
to educate the public on issues affecting the affordability
of housing and the construction industry’s role in the
local community and economy. COMMERCIAL BUILDER COUNCIL
Represents the interests of the
Commercial contractor, sub-contractor, and supplier providing
a forum to discuss concerns and share ideas, and taking a
pro-active role on local issues affecting the commercial
industry. Holds

page. FAMILY FISHING TRIP COMMITTEE
Plans and coordinates the
annual family weekend and fishing tournament, held each spring
for BANCF members and their employees. MEMBERSHIP
COMMITTEE
Promotes recruiting and retention of members,
member orientation, analyzing member needs, greeting
attendees at BANCF functions, Ambassador Committee, and encouraging participation
in the Spike Club (active recruiters to have recruited at
least 6 new members to the association). GOLF TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE
Plans and coordinates two always sold-out Golf Tournament held in the spring and fall.
INSTALLATION BANQUET COMMITTEE
Plans, coordinates, and sells
sponsorships for our annual
elegant event honoring past
and future leaders of the association.
